Z okazji nadchodzących świąt Bożego Narodzenia postanowiłam zorganizować tę oto zbiórkę pieniędzy na konto fundacji DKMS specjalizującej się w budowaniu bazy potencjalnych Dawców szpiku dla osób chorych na nowotwory krwi. W mojej zbiórce nie proszę o wiele, tylko o symboliczną kwotę 30-50 zł. Ponieważ każda kwota niesie ze sobą realną pomoc i pomaga sfinansować jedno badanie (o łącznej kwocie 180zł) potencjalnego Dawcy komórek macierzystych. Może to być jedno badanie, które zadecyduje o życiu osoby chorej na nowotwór krwi!

Nowotwory krwi to jedne z najczęstszych typów nowotworów na świecie.

Szacuje się, iż w Polsce co godzinę jedna osoba dowiaduje się, iż choruje na białaczkę.

Dla wielu chorych jedyną szansą na życie jest przeszczepienie szpiku lub komórek macierzystych od Dawcy niespokrewnionego.Niestety wielu Pacjentów wciąż nie znajduje zgodnego genetycznie Dawcy.

Dlatego właśnie wspieranie takich fundacji jak DKMS jest bardzo ważne i niesie ze sobą realną pomoc.

On the occasion of the upcoming Christmas, I decided to organize this collection fund for DKMS foundation – a charity specializing in creating and expanding a database of potential bone marrow donors for people with blood cancer. Your help may be very symbolic, a small amount like 6-10pounds. Because even the smallest amounts matter by helping to finance one blood test to register one stem cell donor (total cost of such a single blood test is 30 pounds) This can be the only test that will determine the future life of a person suffering from blood cancer!

Blood tumors are one of the most common types of cancer in the world.

Every hour in Poland someone is diagnosed with blood cancer. For many patients the only chance for life is the transplantation of bone marrow or stem cells from unrelated donors. Unfortunatelly still many patients can't find suitable donor

That is why supporting such foundations as DKMS is very important and can bring a real help.
