DECEMBER 19, 2020 - FILM PRE-PREMIERE SCREENING ONLINE

NZARA-HUNGER is a full-length animated film based on the myth from Great Zimbabwe about the Rozvi Empire trying to steal the Moon out of the Sky. The Moon however, has her own ideas about how things should go. The story, banned after its premiere in Zimbabwe in October of 2019, re-enchants a world driven by its hungers and appetites, and is a healing return to one of the oldest, most sacred and most misunderstood pilgrimage sites in the world - Great Zimbabwe in Southern Africa.

The movie is a Zimbabwean-Polish production by Mhondoro Dreams Productions and Influun Animation Studio. 

The movie will be screened through vimeo.com. Everyone with a ticket to the movie will receive a link to watch the movie. In addition, there will be an open conversation with movie creators, online through Zoom, after the movie screening on December 19th and December 20th.
