Description
We have launched this fundraiser to support the victims of the recent severe floods that have hit Lower Silesia, Opole, and parts of southern Poland. Due to heavy rains in mid-September 2024, rivers such as the Biała Lądecka and Morawa have overflowed, reaching water levels higher than those seen during the infamous 1997 flood. Thousands have been displaced, over 50,000 people are without electricity, and critical infrastructure, including homes and roads, has been destroyed. Towns like Kłodzko, Nysa, Jelenia Góra, and Wleń have suffered significant flooding, with water levels reaching up to 1.5 meters in some areas.
Our organization has a long history of responding to crisis situations, dating back to the 1997 flood that inspired the creation of our association. In this new emergency, we are mobilizing once again to provide urgent relief. Already, supplies of food, water, and hygiene products have been delivered, but the needs are vast and growing.
Funds raised will go towards essential equipment for cleanup efforts, including shovels, pumps, work gloves, and dehumidifiers. We are also working to provide temporary shelter, portable stoves, and fuel for affected families.
Join us in this effort. Every donation helps!
Thank you for your support. Remember, kindness always comes back. ❤️
