My name is Sylwia, and I am 34 years old. I work in a pharmacy and help people every day. Unfortunately, now I need your help.

I recently found out that ENDOMETRIOSIS is consuming me from the inside.

The first symptoms appeared about 8 years ago. Years passed, and I bounced like a ball from doctor to doctor, seeking answers to my ailments. Menstrual pain was considered normal – “it's just how you are.” Over the years, I learned to live with it. I took painkillers in advance to prevent the pain and everything that came with it. Over the past three years, I visited at least five gynecologists due to bleeding before and after my periods. Apart from infections that were treated, I was supposedly healthy. Nothing alarming was found.

However...

On January 9, 2024, during a visit to a doctor in Łódź, I heard words that changed my life. Adenomyosis, endometriosis, adherent ovaries, tumors on the intestine, adherent intestine. As Dr. Michał put it, "a lot is happening in your abdomen."

How is this possible? In August last year, I visited another gynecologist who didn't see anything like that. We decided that the best option at that moment was to take hormonal pills for six months, but we didn’t expect the changes to be so extensive.

On April 7, 2024, I had a pelvic MRI in Wrocław. About two weeks later, I received the results. One sentence immediately caught my attention: "The lesion extends continuously into the sigmoid colon, where a full-thickness endometrial infiltration of 25mm in length and up to 17mm in thickness is visible, causing a 90% narrowing of the sigmoid lumen." Without delay, I sent the results to Dr. Michał for consultation, but I received no response. After two days of waiting in suspense, my intuition told me to act. So, I wrote to Dr. Rubisz, who works at the Endometriosis Institute in Wrocław. I had watched a report featuring him some time earlier and purchased the book he co-authored, "Endometriosis. It’s Not Just How You Are." He immediately gained my trust. Due to the severity of the changes, I had an appointment with Dr. Piotr on May 16. My intuition did not fail me once again. Dr. Rubisz turned out to be a wonderful person and a reliable doctor. An ultrasound showed that there is also an infiltration close to the ureter, and the bowel narrowing is probably greater than 90%. This poses a risk of bowel obstruction and emergency surgery at any moment. A dietary mistake could cause bowel blockage. I am walking around with a ticking time bomb inside me. The surgery to remove all the lesions, along with resection of part of the bowel, has been estimated to cost 50,000 PLN. Unfortunately, I do not have this amount, and time plays a significant role.

I believe that the goodness I have sent out over the years will return to me and change my life for the better, without pain and fear. Many times, I have seen the miracles we can achieve together by participating in various fundraisers. I hope that now, with your help, luck will smile upon me, and I will regain my life.
